Iceland: Efstidalur Ice cream

Golden Circle, Iceland. People watching cows, and cows watching people. At Efstidalur, you can enjoy delicious rich ice cream in a unique dining experience. Windows separate a rustic seating area inside a warm and cozy barn, providing a sense of shared space with the ice cream producers themselves.

Rescued Cows

I spotted these two characters on a rainy day at a farm in Maryland off a dirt road. The farmer told me how he rescued them and they would soon join his larger herd. He called them his "Moos."

I was honored and humbled to receive the Excellence Award for Art, sponsored by Gallery 222, judged by artist Tara Will at the St. Francis Art & Music Festival in Malvern, PA.

A Queen's Painting Studio

From a visit to Peleș Castle, a Neo-Renaissance castle in the Carpathian Mountains, near Sinaia, in Prahova County, Romania.

The entrance doorway to Queen Maria's Artist Studio is fitted with green and purple Tiffany windows which opens into this enormous studio. Inside you'll find woodwork with elaborate ornamental carvings, and a comfortable seating area off to the side for tea. The ceiling is crafted to resemble the hull of a ship, and features a large skylight. Amazing northern facing windows lie behind heavy floor to ceiling red drapery revealing a beautiful view of the forest. This enchanting studio is definitely fit for a Queen.
